John Thomas is 2

WOW! 2 years sure did go by fast. We had the family over to MiMi and PaPa's to celebrate and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. We had an animal theme and the cake had a big Lion's head on it and was delicious, you can't go wrong with Edgar's. We had a pinata for the kids to hit and it was funny watching them each try their hardest to bust it. My friend Rachael made John Thomas' "2" shirt and I love it. Scott and I are so lucky to have such a precious little boy in our lives and such great family.

Watching Wow Wow Wubzy

John Thomas has become obsessed with my laptop lately. He likes to watch Wow Wow Wubzy which Scott and I can't stand but we seem to give in easily.

PaPa's 60th Birthday

We went to Montgomery to surprise PaPa on his 60th brithday, we are so lucky to have such a wonderful man in our lives and look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with him. Hadley and Alicia were here from Kentucky and we rode down there together, Alicia and I were laughing listening to the kids in the backseat, Hadley is a trip, John Thomas picked up one of his toys and she said "John Thomas don't break it". We had a good time even though John Thomas pitched a fit at the McDonald' s in Pratville. I think we have hit the terrible 2's and I am open to any suggestions, we seem to throw a tatrum any time we are out in public.

Ben and Jerry's

John Thomas ate so much of his spaghetti tonight that he got to have some Ben and Jerry's ice cream for dessert. Please excuse the spaghetti face but I wasn't going to clean him up until he was completely done eating.

Baking Cookies

Alicia and Hadley stopped by a few weeks ago while they were in town. We had fun baking cookies and eating popsicles. One of John Thomas' favorite treats is a popsicle which he calls a "Da-Di-Da".

Giggles

I love to hear John Thomas laugh. He is into everything these days and I just can't believe he will be 2 in just a little under 2 months.

PERMANENT Marker

That's right, John Thomas got a hold of a black permanent marker and wrote all over his TV as well as inside his drawers. Stinker!

John Thomas Pruitt for Governor

We went to visit PaPa in Montgomery today. We of course had to get John Thomas' picture at the Governor's desk and it looks like he may have been barking out some orders, I know whenever his MiMi is around he makes sure she is at his becking call.

Christmas 2009

John Thomas was a good boy this past year and he got a lot from Santa to prove it. As some of you know Scott and I have pretty big families so we got to see everyone and enjoyed going to everyone's houses. We had breakfast at our house on Christmas morning for the Grandparents and that was one of our favorite times.

Shoes

John Thomas is a boy after my own heart, he loves to wear DaDa's shoes as well as mine.

Picture with Santa

John Thomas and I went to the Galleria (my 2nd home) and saw Santa, he wasn't too sure about what was going on but he didn't tear up or cling to me at all. He is talking A LOT now and would tell everyone at the mall "hi"and he also would yell "Boots" and point if someone was wearing boots. I can't wait until Christmas morning.

EH AH

John Thomas has become very attached to his stuffed monkey who he calls "Eh Ah" . I taught him that monkeys say "eh eh ah ah" and I guess he decided to shorten it and name his monkey that. When we are at home Eh Ah is everywhere John Thomas is and he loves to ride him around on his dump truck. Eh Ah is not allowed to leave the house and he tells him "bye bye, Eh Ah" everytime we walk out the door. When he goes night he has to tell several things "night night" as well. Last night he told his Train "night Night" and then gave it a kiss. I really like this age and love seeing him learn something new each day.
